Fortes QuoTec GmbH is a medium-sized software company based in Ratingen, in the Düsseldorf area. We develop and sell our own business management software for the communications industry, from agencies to media companies. With us, you work on a product used daily by thousands of users, and you see directly what your code achieves. Your role: this is where you make an impact

You further develop our software solution. In the backend with PHP and MariaDB, in the frontend with Vue.js, HTML and SCSS.
You design new features together with the team and contribute your own ideas on architecture and implementation.
You ensure the quality of your code with unit, integration and end-to-end tests (PHPUnit, Playwright) and through code reviews within the team.
You make targeted use of AI tools in your daily development work and grow with us, step by step, towards agentic AI.
You work closely with customers and our support team to continuously improve our software.
You document your work so that colleagues are happy to build on it.

You don’t need to know all of this, what matters most to us is that you are eager to learn.

Your profile

What you bring:

A degree in computer science or business informatics, vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker, m/f/d) or a comparable qualification – recent graduates are welcome too.
Experience in object-oriented development with PHP and in building dynamic web interfaces with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
An independent, structured way of working and enjoyment in analysing problems thoroughly.
Team spirit: you share your knowledge, give constructive feedback and are just as happy to receive it.
An affinity for AI-assisted software development: you use AI tools productively – or are keen to learn quickly and grow with us towards agentic AI.

A plus, but not a must:

Hands-on experience with PHP or JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue.js) and with the MVC pattern.
Experience with automated testing, Git and modern development workflows.
An affinity for operations and CI/CD pipelines.
